  • Hoover Dam: Located on the border between Nevada and Arizona, Hoover Dam was once the world’s largest hydroelectric dam. Hoover Dam will be the subject of a general session lecture by Talbot Manvel.
  • Lake Mead and the Colorado River: Lake Mead is a manmade lake resulting from the construction of Hoover Dam. Lake Mead and the Colorado River offer boating, rafting, fishing and other water entertainments
  • Grand Canyon: Carved by the Colorado River, the Grand Canyon is a natural landmark of unmatched grandeur. The Grand Canyon is located about 200 miles from Las Vegas.
  • Red Rock and Valley of Fire: Conference attendees interested in geology will also enjoy Valley of Fire State Park, with its fascinating display of red sandstone formations northeast of Las Vegas.
